I first wore them in winter under unpadded tights and sometimes rainpants, then alone in spring and summer, riding 300-400 miles a week. At summer's end I snatched up three more pairs on sale, because they worked. I had other bibs that chafed my bum on longer rides, and it was not fun to have to stand up every couple minutes after 40 miles with 20 left go go to relieve severe burning pain. The ozons let me sit, sit, sit, unless I needed to stand up to climb or sprint. Gore buys EIT pads from Assos/Cytech, which explains their comfort.I have some Assos FI Mille bibs, which are great too, but the Ozons are my main go-to's (since I own more pairs of them). They fit differently, but both models are totally comfortable for rides of 50, 70, 100 miles, and the Ozons on sale are the stand-out "Best Buy". Not a big deal, but they tend to creep down when I'm out of the saddle. Complicating matters is the lack of a simple draw string stop thingy with which to cinch the draw string...Now the good. The seat is durable, the fabric windproof, leg length ample, and I can put them on/off over size 13 shoes. They are reasonably lightweight, and though I would like more Velcro to cinch the cuffs, they keep you covered from the elements.I've put in nearly 200 miles of rain-soaked riding in these pants, and can say they work really well. The big test was the 2011 Tour de Blast. 84 miles, 6000 vertical feet, low 40's and rain all the way. Unlike the typical ride, I loved the climbs ('cause they warmed me up), and feared the descents (they froze my brain and made me want to p*#k!) In 100% humidity, you can't expect to stay dry: I was soaking wet almost the entire ride. Don't get me wrong, they're great, but I think you could get away with something half the price. However, these paints are incredibly light weight and have great features. They fit loosely but feature two Velcro tightening straps on each leg that tighten the pants around your calves making them incredibly universal in regards to size. Speaking of, I was worried these weren't going to fit as I usually wear size 32x34. I ordered a Medium and they're definitely longer than indicated on the sizing chart and actualy fit perfectly. They also feature a large mesh pocket in the back which I've found is great for storing my gloves and face mask. I also found these pants to be highly versatile for many different types of weather. They're obviously completely waterproof, but so light weight and breathable you can simply wear them over your bike shorts so as to not over heat and stay dry in the rain. And of course you could also comfortably wear them over warmer pants if the weather turns cold. Yesterday I rode 45 miles in temps just above freezing, wearing a capilene underlayer and this jacket, and my torso was comfortable. With a close-fitting wool sweater underneath it I'd have been warm well below freezing. Yet with its well-placed vents I've never gotten overheated, even when the temps rose into the fifties.Only two nitpicks: the sleeves are longer than they need to be.
